SENIOR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Who We Need & What You’ll Do

Virsec Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Senior Quality Assurance Engineer based in San Jose, CA. Job duties include: design, develop and modify test automation systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Create and develop detailed test plans, programs and test cases on functional and technical requirements.   Translate design requirements into test plans and follow up with implementation. Develop automation using well-known programming languages and tools Python, Selenium and Scripting. Identify, analyze and document problems with program functions, output or content and provide solutions. Participate in project design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, scheduled and potential problems. Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Track project progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks, formulate mitigation steps, and communicate status to upper management and project stakeholders. Interface with engineering managers and engineers to estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources. Continuously engage in challenging the old norms of software development to improve performance in the areas of software quality, predictability, and project management. Utilizes experience in Linux, Python, JMeter, Spirent, Network Protocols, (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.) and Network Firewalls. Requires 50% national travel.

Job Requirements

This position requires Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in a related occupation. Position also requires experience in Linux, Python, JMeter, Spirent, Network Protocols, (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.) and Network Firewalls. Position requires 50% national travel.
